The Royal Air Force have got
And I know that,
tell me, tell me that the Royal Air Force
you know, if I don't play those two pieces
tell me on the way out as they're saying,
The likes of the big band
a little bit of Glenn Miller,
And those are sort of, that's music that's
The Battle of Britain March,
You know, these are charts
So no matter what I would programme
of on parade,
you know, very famous,
your audience will leave very happy.
We're there to entertain.
And again, it's a nice balance of
we want to provide something that's
for everybody, you know,
tastes, but also something
something for the band and something,
that musical satisfaction
And if you get a nice mix of that,
engagement and be very happy.
Royal Air Force music the musicians are
They love to be challenged as well.
So it's a fine balance of playing
repertoire that everybody wants to hear.
But there's plenty
So if I can pick something that challenges
and then we can get musical satisfaction,
And if you get that fine balance right,
from the engagement very happy.
I can't.
I can't step away from the music
which really transcribes very well
synonymous with Star Wars and the likes,
super, super music to do, you know, so.
But it also goes down an absolute
There are other classical pieces that,
but when we think about, you know,
it's music that they knew and love.
We've got a fantastic arrangement of Queen
And when we play that, you know,
the band playing brilliantly,
And if you're ticking all those boxes,
of satisfaction from it.
Music from the movies is.
We could do a week long of concerts.
Music from the movies.
If I step back to Lincoln Cathedral,
steeped in Royal Air Force history.
And we do regular concerts
So I've programmed a piece of music.
It's called the Force Awakens,
from Star wars that we all know and love.
The acoustic in there is just superb.
So that music just went
I got a huge amount of, you know,
in that particular occasion,
and at Lincoln Cathedral as well.
An air force tends to,
that's associated
you know, Preludes
even just last weekend, you know,
where we do the annual service
of Britain,
music associated with the Battle
the Book of Honour and the
and colours are being paraded down
moments because the music
that depicted the bravery, the honour,
on in the Battle of Britain.
And there you are in the Abbey, you know,
members of people who served in the Battle
who served in the Battle of Britain.
And those are very special moments.
